Overview

As companies increasingly need to manage numerous data sources for observability, data pipelines are an incredibly valuable tool. Era Software has designed and developed EraStreams, a no-code product that is integrated within its product suite.

Process

Team conducted crafted a script based on our learning goals and conducted interviews subject matter experts. We synthesized the research which revealed several insights and pain points to solve within existing data pipeline management options. Many of these were confirmation of signal leadership had been hearing from within the industry and had experienced firsthand given their intimate knowledge of the space.

With clarity in user needs, user stories were developed to inform how the a user would use such a product to solve their pain points. Ideation using wireframes began to help shape concepts for review with stakeholders and subject matter experts. Soon these concepts were honed into user flows and higher fidelity prototypes. Development began to implement the features designed to solve for user needs and provide gains in efficiency.

This product required careful consideration of layout and interaction patterns to clearly communicate data flows and allow for quick adaptation by the user.
